Ben White dislikes writing about himself in third person, but he isn't one to cause trouble. He co-moderates an Internet writing group for young writers of speculative fiction, the accurately titled Young Writers Speculative Fiction Forum. He thinks more people should write, or at least read, or at least watch decent movies.

His favourite writers include Alan Moore, Terry Pratchett, Ben Elton, PG Wodehouse and Neil Gaiman.

He was born in Nelson, New Zealand on the 6th of December, 1981, and has stayed in Nelson, New Zealand for his entire life up to this point, mainly because Ben is, among other things, extremely lazy. He has been known to wear strange hats and do strange dances, but there is no proof of this beyond the extensive collection of photographs, home movies, eyewitness reports and immediate admittance to the fact if asked. He can't play the guitar.
